CASRAI has a number of annual events taking place in our various chapters in the coming months. We hope you will see an event near you with a programme that catches your interest. Reconnect events are an opportunity for you to join the CASRAI community in your country as we work together to make research management information more efficient and effective throughout an ever changing research management lifecycle. You don’t have to be a member to attend and you can attend any of the events listed below based on your location and interests. Each event has a small registration fee so each chapter can recover venue and catering costs.

CASRAI Canada Reconnect 2018 – Ottawa, May 23/24 – From Laura Beaupre, Director, Research Analysis and Reporting, University of Guelph:

CASRAI UK Reconnect 2018 – Glasgow, June 25/26 – From Anna Clements, Assistant Director of Library Services (Digital Research), University of St Andrews:

CASRAI Europe Reconnect 2018 – Porto, Portugal, June 29 – From Ligia Ribeiro, Principal Researcher, Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto:

“We are just getting started with the CASRAI chapter in Europe and we hope you will join us at the event. The theme for this year is “Research Administration in the Era of GDPR”. We will have speakers from a number of stakeholder organizations talking about information collection policies and how they need to evolve for the GDPR. We will also provide updates on key EU projects at CASRAI, especially the proposed standard for a Research Outputs CV. We will also discuss opportunities to develop a community of practice among research administrators and managers in order to strengthen the European community around advocating for best practices on information collection.”
