From Michele Mennielli, International Business Developer 4Science

Rome, Italy  4Science has been working hard to support the important activities related to DSpace 7 and, as responsible for the REST API Subteam, we just setup an online demo for users to start playing with it. The new REST API can be accessed at this link: We hope the availability of an online demo will facilitate the discussion around new REST API and its  future developments.

The coming month is an important one for both the repository and the CRIS communities. 4Science will attend two main events and we hope to meet many of you in there to share ideas on the future of our systems.

The first event is the COAR Annual Meeting (May 8-10) hosted by the University Ca’ Foscari in Venice. The major theme for this year’s meeting will be next generation repositories, a topic we consider crucial to be discussed at the international level. Our CTO Andrea Bollini is also member of the COAR Working Group that drafted the first document defining the characteristics of such repositories.

The second event is the euroCRIS Spring Membership Meeting (May 29-31), hosted by the Dublin Institute of Technology. The theme of the meeting is “The (expanding) functionality and position of CRISs today” and, once again, 4Science is deeply engaged in the discussion as one of the most dynamic player in the field, thanks to our constant work on DSpace-CRIS.

We will present and share with the communities updates on our activities and several interesting enhancements of our systems. We truly hope to meet you there!
