If you will be traveling to Montreal, Quebec for IASSIST & CARTO Conference May 29 to June 1 please join David Wilcox for a half-day workshop on May 29 “Supporting data storytellers with Fedora“. The Workshop will provide an overview of Fedora–the flexible, extensible, open source repository platform for managing, preserving, and providing access to digital content.

In this workshop both new and existing Fedora users will learn about current Fedora features and functionality first-hand.

Workshop participants will be introduced to Fedora and learn how to create, manage, and share content in accordance with linked data best practices and the Portland Common Data Model. Participants will also learn how Fedora supports digital preservation, including exporting resources from Fedora to external systems and services as part of a digital curation workflow.

Workshops must be booked in advance when registering for the conference: http://www.library.mcgill.ca/iassistcarto2018/registration-fees/. We look forward to seeing you in Montreal!
